What a cinematic website costs, and how long it takes

Three tiers of motion move the price. Two bands are published here in rupees; a scroll animation website with film or 3D is scoped after a 20-minute call.

The short answerkanavulab.com
  • Landing page1 to 2 weeks₹20,000 to ₹80,000
  • Web app MVPSix weeks₹1.5L to ₹5L+
  • Cinematic siteFilm, pinned sections or 3DScoped after a 20-minute call
As published on the homepage.

What moves the price

Each one adds build days, phone testing and page weight.

  • CSS reveals

Sections fade and rise as they arrive. Light to build and to load.

    Published elsewhere:$3k to $5k

  • Pinned scroll sections

A scene holds while the page drives the frames. Needs its own phone layout.

    Published elsewhere:$5k to $8k

  • Full 3D, WebGL

Real-time objects and shaders. Specialist days, plus a fallback for phones without WebGL.

    Published elsewhere:$8k and up

Meters: relative effort, an illustration. Dollar figures: one creative developer’s published 2026 guide, not our prices; it puts agencies at two to four times that. A second studio quotes per scope.

What we have published

Two bands, in rupees, as on the homepage. A cinematic site is scoped by its scenes, film and 3D: a scope, not a band.

    ₹20,000 to ₹80,000
  • Web app MVPSix weeks, you own the code
    ₹1.5L to ₹5L+

No band published. Scoped after a 20-minute call.

Drawn to scale; the MVP band runs past ₹5 lakh. US dollar pricing: remote MVP studio.

How long it takes

The six-week plan we work to when there is a film. Nothing is built before the storyboard is approved.

  1. Week 1BriefThe call, then one page on what the site must do.You confirm
  2. Week 2StoryboardThe one idea and the frames that carry it.You approve
  3. Week 3StillsEvery still, made in the studio. You pick
  4. Week 4FilmThe cut, scored to the scroll. You approve
  5. Week 5BuildThe page on staging, phone layout included. You review
  6. Week 6LaunchDomain, analytics, handover of code and files.Live

Stills without a film is shorter. The storyboard sets the dates, in writing.

What keeps it fast on a phone

Phones get the still column at 960 px. Scroll scrubbing stays on laptops unless it genuinely works on the device.

  2. Laptop, 1600 px283 KB
  3. Large screen, 2560 px540 KB

Measured from the four WebP files in this site’s hero, 11 Oct 2026. Text stays in the HTML.

The live example is this site

On a laptop the homepage hero plays these four stills as a pinned scroll sequence; on a phone it stacks them. Same files as above.

Questions

How much does a cinematic website cost?

Published: landing pages ₹20,000 to ₹80,000; six-week web app MVPs ₹1.5 lakh to ₹5 lakh and up. A cinematic site with film, pinned sections or 3D is scoped after a 20-minute call. Other studios’ figures sit above, with sources.

How long does a cinematic website take?

A landing page: 1 to 2 weeks. With a film: the six-week plan, brief to launch, with your review each week. The approved storyboard sets the real dates.

Will a scroll animation website be fast on a phone?

Phones get the still column at 960 px: this site’s four hero stills total 145 KB at that width, measured 11 October 2026. Scrubbing stays on laptops unless it genuinely works on the device.

What do I own at the end?

The storyboard, the stills, the film and its master files, the page code and the hosting account, all in your name at handover.

How do revisions work?

Each stage is reviewed before the next starts: brief, storyboard, stills, film cut, staging page. Changes inside the approved storyboard are part of the work; a new direction is scoped as a change, in writing first.

Tell us the idea. We will scope it.

A 20-minute call, then the scope and the dates in writing. Not the right fit? We will say so.
