The short answer

A landing page is one page built for one action, such as a sign-up or a call booking, and a website is the long-term home with many pages. Published Indian prices run from about Rs 5,000 for a template page1 to Rs 1.2 lakh or more for custom-coded work2. In dollars, vendors quote $500 to $1,500 from freelancers and $1,000 to $5,000 or more from agencies3.

Key facts

  1. One Indian development company lists template landing pages at Rs 6,000 to Rs 15,000, standard conversion-focused pages at Rs 18,000 to Rs 40,000, and custom-coded pages at Rs 45,000 to Rs 1.2 lakh or more2.
  2. A web agency in Delhi lists template pages at Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000 in 2 to 4 days, custom pages at Rs 15,000 to Rs 40,000 in 4 to 7 days, and A/B-tested ad pages at Rs 30,000 to Rs 80,000 in 7 to 14 days1.
  3. In dollars, a vendor that sells a landing page builder puts freelancers at $500 to $1,500 and agencies at $1,000 to $5,000 or more3; an Indian development firm puts India-based design at $1,000 to $1,500 and North America at about $3,0004.
  4. A design agency's timeline guide puts a simple page at 8 hours to 2 days and a complex one at 1 to 3 weeks or more, with each revision round adding 1 to 3 days5.
  5. HubSpot describes a landing page as a single page with one focused goal and limited or no navigation, while a website is several linked pages built to last6.
  6. For comparison, Hostinger's guide puts an agency-built small business website in India at Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh7.

Do I need a landing page or a full website?

It depends on how many things you need visitors to do. HubSpot draws the line this way. A landing page has a single focus, such as capturing a lead or one sign-up. It is a single standalone page with limited or no navigation, and it usually disappears or gets updated when the campaign ends. A website is a group of linked pages under one domain, with menus, and it is built to last as the brand's home base6.

So a landing page fits one offer, one audience and one action, often behind an ad or a message. A website fits several services, several audiences, content you will keep adding, and visitors who arrive without a campaign. Some businesses start with a landing page and add a website later.

What does a landing page cost in India?

No official rate card exists, so every figure here comes from a company that sells this work. Read them as ranges. One Indian development company lists five tiers: template pages at Rs 6,000 to Rs 15,000, standard conversion-focused pages at Rs 18,000 to Rs 40,000, pages ready for A/B testing at Rs 25,000 to Rs 70,000, custom-coded pages at Rs 45,000 to Rs 1.2 lakh or more, and AI-driven dynamic pages at Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh or more. It suggests small businesses plan Rs 18,000 to Rs 30,000 for a conversion-ready page2.

A Delhi web agency lists template pages at Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000, custom pages at Rs 15,000 to Rs 40,000, A/B-tested ad pages at Rs 30,000 to Rs 80,000, and sets of three or more variants at Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh. Its FAQ gives Rs 20,000 to Rs 60,000 for custom paid-ads pages, which it does not reconcile with the table1.

The ranges overlap and the sources also contradict themselves. The first company, for example, gives a freelancer's single page at Rs 5,000 to Rs 25,000 in one place and Rs 5,000 to Rs 28,000 in another2. Hostinger's guide puts a freelancer's small static site at Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,0007. Ask for a written scope before comparing any two quotes.

What does it cost in US dollars?

A vendor that sells a landing page builder puts a freelance designer at $500 to $1,500 for a basic page, an agency at $1,000 to $5,000 or more, and a custom-coded page at $2,500 to $5,000 or more. It prices its own template builders at $69 to $499 a month3.

An Indian development firm gives regional figures: about $1,000 for Eastern Europe, about $3,000 for North America, and $1,000 to $1,500 for India, depending on the design. It lists site builders at $10 to $250 a month4. The builder subscription ranges differ between the two vendors, which is another reason to treat vendor figures as indications.

What moves the price?

The same sources name the same drivers:

  • Design and functional complexity, integrations, A/B testing and analytics setup, who builds it, revision rounds and rush work3.
  • The platform: one Indian company lists WordPress or Elementor-type pages at Rs 8,000 to Rs 28,000, Webflow-type pages at Rs 25,000 to Rs 55,000, and custom-coded pages at Rs 45,000 to Rs 1.2 lakh or more2.
  • Extras the same company prices separately: copywriting at Rs 2,000 to Rs 18,000 per page, SEO and analytics setup at Rs 2,000 to Rs 12,000, and CRM or automation integration at Rs 5,000 to Rs 25,0002.
  • Whether the copy and visuals exist. A design agency says missing copy adds 1 to 3 days and gathering visuals adds 1 to 5 days5.

How long does a landing page take?

Days for a simple page and weeks for a complex one. A design agency's guide puts a simple page at 8 hours to 2 days, a medium page at 3 to 7 days, and a high-complexity page with custom features, animation or integrations at 1 to 3 weeks or more. It recommends 2 to 3 revision rounds and says each round adds 1 to 3 days5. The Delhi agency above gives 2 to 4 days for a template page and 7 to 14 days for an A/B-tested ad page1.

Missing copy and visuals are the delays that guide lists, and both sit with the buyer. Send the copy, logo, photographs and proof you want to use before the build starts.

Can I build a landing page myself?
